Marthaís Vineyard is one of the most popular summer vacation spots in the United States. Since the large majority of the islandís thousands of summer visitors arrive without their automobile, public transit is a robust and popular service. The VTA carries more passengers in a 3 month span than most mainland RTAís carry in an entire year. Growth of this popular service has been so rapid that the Authority needed to centralize their maintenance, operations, and administrative functions into one facility.
Waterfield Design provided Design-Build services for this ambitious project due to clientís need for an accelerated delivery schedule. Our full design and construction management of this project allowed its successful delivery and opening just in time for the busy summer tourist season.
